! RESTORATION CONTRACTOR WARNING !

While the above may be the insurance industry standards for estimating the cost to repair damaged insurance covered commercial and residential properties, they are not the restoration construction industry standard, at least not for restoration contractors who want to earn what they are really worth by being able to charge real, true, and accurate (RTA) free market pricing for their work.  Know this; contrary to what some in the industry have led many restoration contractors to believe, there is no enforceable legal or other requirement or mandate that any restoration contractor use either of the above estimating programs and there is, as you will see when you compare the numbers, no advantage whatsoever in doing so.

In fact, as you will learn from clicking on and reading the PDF entitled “Weaponizing Xactimate:  The Insurance Industry’s Dirty Secret” on the attached website, the use of either of the above estimating programs will always put you at a great disadvantage – financially and otherwise.  Use of either the above repair estimating programs will also not cause insurance adjusters to show you favor.  All P&C insurance really cares about is making sure that their in house and TPA adjusters do what they are told to do which is to pay out as little as possible on each of your insured customers legitimate property damage claims.  In doing so, your customers, your distributors, and you – all get screwed, while the P&C insurance companies continue to make record profits.
